Narrative Essay by: Julie Estrada

1. What is a narrative essay?
Some people think of a narrative essay as a telling a story but a narrative essay also allows the authors to express their self’s in a creative way. A narrative essay allows a person to show how a character in the story might feels thru the actions that it takes instead of just coming out and jus saying it.
2. What are the elements of a narrative essay?
The elements of a narrative essay are the setting in which the story takes place, The backgrounds and details of the characters, the conflicts that happen in the story, the climax is very important because it tells the strongest part of the story, it’s the main part of the story, and the resolution is also important because it resolves the conflict that happened throughout the story.
3. Why do people write narrative essays?
Some narrative writers write about themselves, a memory that they want to share with their readers.

4. What are the conventions of a narrative essay?
The conventions of a narrative story has dialog, it has characters, and it gives meaning to the story. They can be written in third person but they are mostly written in first person. The writer has to provide all the details of the story to impress the reader.
