Summary about the article:
The articles I read was called Gators among those fleeing Fay's Florida deluge by Brian Skoloff Associated Press Writer. The news article was about the recent storm (Fay) in Florida. The areas were the storm hit has alligators in most counties which really frightened residents. There were over 18,000 calls about the alligators in several neighborhoods. There were also snakes and other numerous harmful creatures and residents were really worried about them getting hurt. Rain water went up to more then two feet of rain which restricted a few residents from coming out of their homes. There were two deaths during the storm one of the people who was killed was a visitor. Official’s estimated damage up to $14.6million dollars. This type of storm has not been seen since Hurricane Donna in 1960, according to Daniel Brown, a specialist at the National Hurricane Center. Fay is the fourth storm in recorded history to hit the Florida peninsula with tropical storm intensity three separate times.
What I think about the news article:
The article was mostly about the storm that hit the peninsula of Florida. If I were in Florida at the time of the storm I would be very frightened. The alligators, snakes, and creatures would make me be afraid of even coming out of my house. I would immediately try to flea if I knew that a storm was coming whether it’s a big storm or a little storm because it can get very dangerous in this case the storm hit three times and it resulted in deaths of people. The storm was a big disaster estimated to cost up to $14.6 million in repairs. The storm was a disaster and i wouldn't know what to do if i were caught in that situation.
